Introduction -
Whenever we go on a trip and have to choose a hotel or hostel to stay overnight, we try to choose the one that makes us feel safe and comfortable; the closest thing, within everyone's means, to feel at home.
To do this, more or less consciously, we take into account the degree of cleanliness and disinfection of the hotel, which offers us a pleasant atmosphere. But, interestingly, being these very important aspects, what automatically makes us accept or reject a place is its smell.
It doesn't even have to be an unpleasant smell: it is enough that when entering the room we perceive the perfume of the previous guest so that we do not feel comfortable; no one likes to be reminded that it takes up the space that another unknown person has just left. Let's not say anything, then, if it is other types of smells (tobacco, infusions, pets...).
With ozone hygiene systems, we guarantee rooms without contaminants, odors, compounds or harmful particles, (e.g. those derived from tobacco), fungi or bacteria in furniture (chairs, armchairs...), textiles (quilts, curtains...), walls, ceilings, floors and, above all, in the breathable air.
What is a healthy hostel?
A healthy hotel is a hotel without contaminants, without odors, compounds or harmful particles, for example those derived from tobacco, without fungi or bacteria in furniture (chairs, armchairs...), textiles (quilts, curtains...), walls, ceilings, floors and, above all, in the breathable air.
How Ozone Works -
Ozone, made up of three oxygen molecules, is one of the most potent oxidizers known, which gives it its great biocidal power (eliminates viruses, bacteria and fungi at low concentrations and very quickly) as well as being able to eliminate not only tobacco smoke, but also chemicals present in the gas phase of tobacco.
With regard to chemical contamination of the environment, ozone, because of its high oxidizing power, has a wide spectrum of action being able to interact, deactivating them, with aldehydes, ketones, nitrogenous derivatives, sulfur derivatives, hydrocarbons, acids, etc. This interaction results in an improvement of the environment at the level of compounds that:
They are harmful to health
They root the environment, causing a feeling of no oxygen.
They produce bad odors.
They can lead to irritations, allergic reactions, etc.
Of the three problems identified, the one on which the action of ozone is most evident is that of odors, easily appreciable by the people subjected to them.
The deodorizing action of ozone is not due to a simple camouflage effect of the odor, but is a true chemical destruction of the odor, when the molecules that cause it are broken down.
According to WHO, this gas in the atmosphere is the most potent disinfectant against all types of microorganisms
According to the World Health Organization, ozone is the most potent disinfectant against all types of microorganisms, bacteria, fungi and viruses. WHO recognizes that the disinfectant power of ozone is 99%. In the following link you can see a WHO pdf in which it reports a little on the disinfectant power of ozone.
